DELAINA "DEE" DAVIS BOYD

Dee was born in Clinton, North Carolina, on August 29,
1974. She attended Meredith
College and graduated with honors from North
Carolina State University in 1995 with a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Marketing Education with a minor in
Business Administration. While at State, Dee received the
Student of the year Award for Marketing Education and the
Student of the Year Award (Durwin M. Hanson Achievement
Award) for the Department of Occupational Education.
Additionally, she served as the Student Government President
for the College of Education and Psychology.
After teaching Business and Marketing in the Harnett
County Public Schools, she attended the Norman
Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell
University. Dee graduated from Campbell Law School in
1999. While at Campbell, Dee was the winner of the Trial
Advocacy II Book Award. Additionally, Dee served as a Case
Editor and Case Summary Writer for the Campbell Law
Observer, as well as a member of the Phi alpha Delta Legal
Fraternity.
Dee is licensed to practice before all North Carolina
Courts as well as the United States District Court for the
Eastern District of North Carolina.
She is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the
North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Academy
of Trial Lawyers, the Eighth Judicial District Bar
Association, and the Lenoir County Bar Association. Dee
serves as the parent attorney for Family Dependency
Treatment Court. Her primary office is in Snow Hill.
Dee's practice is concentrated in the areas of
juvenile
law, criminal law and
domestic law.
