John
was born in Columbia, South Carolina on September 23, 1970.
He attended the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
and received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice (B.S.C.J.)
in May 1992. John attended
Norman Adrian Wiggins School of
Law at Campbell University and received his Juris Doctor
(J.D.) in 1997. While in Law School, John was Case Law
Editor of the Campbell Law Review and a member of the Honor
Court Defense Counsel. John competed both regionally and
nationally, for the law school in trial competitions, and
won a National Finalist position in 1997.
John is licensed to practice before all
North Carolina Courts, the Federal Court for all districts
in North Carolina. Additionally, John is licensed to
practice in the states of Tennessee and Georgia. He is also
a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee. John is a member of the
North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia State Bars, the
Bankruptcy sections of the North Carolina and Tennessee Bar
Associations, the National Association of Bankruptcy
Trustees, and the Eastern Bankruptcy Institute. John is a
member of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District
of North Carolina Local Rules Committee. He is a frequent
speaker at the North Carolina Bar Association Continuing
Legal Education seminars regarding bankruptcy law.
John is married and he, his wife and two
daughters live in New Bern. John is the resident attorney at
the firm’s New Bern, North Carolina office.
John’s practice is concentrated in the areas of
Bankruptcy,
Government, Civil Litigation, Creditor’s Rights,
Federal
Administrative Law, Administrative Hearings and Appeals,
Business Planning, and
Business Law.
