Katherine was born in Pensacola, Fla., on March 21, 1974 and now lives in New Bern, N.C. with her daughter Shelby. Katherine's practice at White & Allen is concentrated in family law, criminal defense, civil litigation, and real estate.

Katherine received her Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University in 1998.  Prior to entering law school she worked as a paralegal concentrating in mergers and acquisitions, maritime law, commercial and residential real estate and estate planning and administration in Georgia, Florida and Washington.  She received her law degree from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Mass., in 2004 and became licensed to practice law in North Carolina in 2004. She practices in the firm's New Bern, N.C., office.

Katherine is licensed to practice before all North Carolina State Courts and Federal Court, Eastern District of North Carolina.

Katherine is an active member of the North Carolina Bar Association Family Law and Real Property Law Sections as well as the North Carolina Advocates for Justice.  She is also a member of the Craven County Bar Association and the 3B Judicial District Bar Association.

Prior to joining White & Allen, P.A., Katherine practiced law for four years in New Bern for the Stricklin Law Firm where she concentrated heavily on real estate, estate planning and estate administration. While at law school in Massachusetts, she served as a law clerk with two Boston-based law firms.

Katherine's interests include gardening, golf and spending time with her daughter and does not mind dealing with the challenges of all three.

 


In recent cases/transactions of note:
  • Katherine participated in the statewide 4-All Campaign in 2008 by volunteering to answer telephone calls and field legal questions from the general public.
  • Recently participated in the State Foreclosure Prevention Project to assist homeowners facing foreclosure.
