MATTHEW S. SULLIVAN

Matthew was born in Harrisonburg, Virginia on January 1,
1968. His primary area of practice is civil litigation. Matt
earned his undergraduate degree (B.S.) (magna cum laude) in
Administration of Justice and Public Affairs in 1990, at the
Virginia
Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Upon
graduation, he attended Norman
Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University and
received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) (magna cum laude) in 1995.
While in Law School, Matt was a Wiggins Scholar,
Editor-in-Chief of the Campbell Law Review, Author of
Published Note (Campbell Law Review Vol. 16:231), member of
the Order of Barristers, one of two inductees of the
International Trial lawyers Association, and recipient of
the Fred O. Dennis Award. Matt competed, both regionally and
nationally, for the law school in trial competitions,
including a National Finalist position in 1995.
Matt is licensed to practice before all North Carolina
State Courts, the Federal District Court for the Eastern
District of North Carolina and the United States Court of
Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He is a member of the North
Carolina and American Bar Associations, the Eighth Judicial
District Bar Association, the Lenoir County Bar Association
(President 97-98), the Association of Trial Lawyers, the
North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, and The Eastern
North Carolina Inn of Court.
Matt's practice is concentrated in the areas of
catastrophic personal injury,
industrial accidents,
wrongful
death, workers' compensation, commercial and
general civil
litigation.
