Marshall to Serve on Business Law Section Council

White & Allen, P.A. attorney John P. Marshall has been elected to the business law section council of the North Carolina Bar Association.
The Business Law Section has more than 1,500 members. It sponsors continuing education programs and is a key component in developing the association’s legislative agenda for consideration by the General Assembly each year.
Marshall first practiced with White & Allen, P.A. from 1989 until 2000, rejoining the firm in 2006 after in-house counsel service with Tands, Inc., the Bojangles franchisee for much of Eastern North Carolina.
Marshall, 45, earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration at Campbell University, where he also earned his law degree, magna cum laude.
He maintains a civil litigation practice, and advises White & Allen clients in business matters such as structuring business transactions, real estate acquisition and general business matters.
Marshall is admitted to practice in all courts in North Carolina. Marshall is also certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission as a mediator.
Marshall is active in the community, and has been a president of the Lenoir Committee of One Hundred and the Kinston Country Club. He has served on the boards of the Lenoir County United Way, the Lenoir Community Council for the Arts and the Human Rights Advisory Council at Caswell Center.
