Three White & Allen Attorneys Named To Super Lawyers List

KINSTON, N.C.—Three members of the White & Allen law firm have been named to Super Lawyers, a listing of outstanding lawyers around the nation who have a notable degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

Gray Johnsey, David Fillippeli, Jr. and Sherwood C. “Chris” Henderson are among this year’s honorees. All three practice at White & Allen, P.A.’s Kinston office.
Johnsey is being recognized by Super Lawyers in the categories of Estate Planning & Probate, Tax and Business/Corporate Law. Fillippeli has been recognized for achievement in Personal Injury-Plaintiff, Family Law and Criminal Law.
Henderson has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star, a category given over to accomplished attorneys who are under 40, or who have been practicing for 10 years or fewer. Henderson was cited by Super Lawyers for his work in the categories of Estate Planning & Probate and Tax Law.
Polling, research and selection for Super Lawyers are performed by Law & Politics, a publication of Key Professional Media, Inc. Law & Politics has been publishing legal magazines since 1990 and overseeing Super Lawyers since 1991.
Johnsey has handled tax, probate, and estate and business planning matters in Eastern North Carolina for more than 25 years. He is a board certified specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law and a Fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. Johnsey is a member of the Southeastern Trust School Faculty at Campbell University.
Fillippeli’s practice is concentrated in litigation with an emphasis on criminal, domestic and personal injury law. Recently elected as chairperson of the Lenoir County Board of Education, Fillippeli is past president of the Lenoir County Bar Association and the Eighth Judicial District Bar Association.
Henderson’s practice is concentrated in the areas of tax, qualified retirement plans, estate planning, estate administration, business planning and corporations. Henderson holds the Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) credential. Henderson joined White & Allen in 1997 and became one of the firm’s shareholders and officers in 2000.
