NEW BERN, N.C.—White & Allen, P.A. has announced that longtime New Bern attorney Moses D. Lasitter has joined the firm and will practice from White & Allen’s New Bern location.

Lasitter has been in sole practice for many years as Lee, Hancock and Lasitter, P.A. following the retirements of W.H. Lee and C.E. Hancock Jr.  Lasitter joined the firm in 1973.

With White & Allen, Lasitter will continue his civil litigation practice, advising clients in business matters such as structuring business transactions, particularly real estate acquisitions.

Lasitter received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1964 and his law degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law in 1973.

He was in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1968 and served with the U.S. Special Forces in the Republic of Vietnam from May of 1967 until May of 1968.

Lasitter commented, “In making my decision, I thought about the type of practice and personnel that would best serve my clients.  I have known the White & Allen lawyers in the New Bern office for many years and our practices are very similar.”
