Dick was born in Chapel Hill, N.C., on January 12, 1967. He graduated from Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Va., in 1985. Dick attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and political science in 1988.
He graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 1991, and was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar that year.
Dick is licensed to practice before all North Carolina State Courts, as well as the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
Dick's practice is concentrated in the areas of business and in residential and commercial real estate. He is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the North Carolina Bar Association, Real Property Section, the Eighth Judicial District Bar Association and the North Carolina Land Title Association.
Dick currently serves as the Vice Chairman for the Council of the Real Property Section of the North Carolina Bar Association.
Dick participates in triathlons and has contributed time as a manager and former coach in Kinston’s youth soccer program. He is a Cub Master for Pack 41 in Kinston and is vice chancellor of the Episcopal Church’s Diocese of East Carolina. He is chairman of the board of the Caswell Center Foundation.
