White & Allen, P.A. employee Alice Herring recently celebrated 30 years with the firm. Numerous friends and family members attended a small celebration hosted by White & Allen in her honor.
Alice began her tenure with White & Allen in 1986 through a Co-op Program with Pitt Community College. Upon graduation from the Paralegal Technology Program in 1987, she joined the firm as a full time Real Estate Paralegal. In 2006, she gained status as a North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal. Attorney Joseph Bower stated, “Alice Herring is one of the best Title Examiners I have ever known and we are fortunate to have her as a part of our White & Allen family.”
Herring was born and reared in Kinston but moved to Greene County in 1989, when she married Leonard “Lenny” Herring. Lenny and Alice have one daughter, Casey Marie, who is a rising senior at East Carolina University. Sadly, Lenny passed away in 2014 after 25 wonderful years of marriage.
Alice loves to fish and spend time with her dogs and family. She commented that she has become quite skilled at yard work since the loss of her husband. Alice is very active in her home church, First Baptist of Kinston, and is currently serving as chairperson of the diaconate as well as on various teams and committees.
