Celebrating 35 Years of Service: Jessica Elmore, the Heart of Our Kinston Office

At White & Allen, P.A., our greatest strength lies in the people who uphold our values and serve our clients with unwavering dedication. This June, we are proud to celebrate a remarkable milestone: Jessica Elmore’s 35th anniversary as the receptionist at our Kinston office.

Since joining White & Allen in 1990, Jessica has been the welcoming face and kind voice that so many of our clients remember. Whether greeting visitors with warmth or ensuring a message reaches the right attorney without delay, she is the quiet but essential presence who keeps our office—and much more—running smoothly.

A Servant’s Heart

Jessica’s career began at Lenoir Memorial Hospital (now UNC Lenoir), where she worked for eight years. While she found deep purpose in that work, the emotional toll became heavy. “I no longer had the heart to lose another patient,” she shared. With compassion still at her core, Jessica sought a way to serve others in a different capacity—and White & Allen became that home.

For 35 years, she has brought her trademark kindness, helpfulness, and grace to every client interaction. She is often the first point of contact for those calling or visiting our Kinston office, and her ability to put people at ease makes a lasting impression. Her attention to detail, gentle demeanor, and thoughtful gestures—like remembering birthdays and checking in on coworkers during difficult times—reflect the values we hold dear as a firm.

More Than a Receptionist

Jessica’s role at White & Allen goes far beyond answering phones or greeting clients. She is a backbone to our firm—someone who doesn’t let important details slip through the cracks and who consistently ensures our clients are taken care of like family. Her presence is both reassuring and motivating, not only to the public but to every member of our legal team.

When asked what has kept her with the firm for 3.5 decades, Jessica responded with characteristic humility and humor: “I have to work—honestly. I have worked since age 5, so it’s all I know. And this firm and its people became a family to me. I couldn’t imagine leaving my family.”

That sense of belonging and shared purpose is exactly what defines the culture at White & Allen.
