White & Allen Attorney Elected to NCBA Board of Governors

John C. Bircher III, of White & Allen, P.A., has been selected to serve on the North Carolina Bar Association’s Board of Governors. Elected to a three-year term, Bircher will serve from 2017 – 2020. In addition to serving on the Board of Governors, John will also serve on the NCBA Foundation Board of Directors.
A principal of White & Allen since 2006, John has concentrated on bankruptcy since 1997. Bircher graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1992 and received his law degree from the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University in 1997. John is licensed to practice before all state and federal courts in North Carolina, in the Northern District of Georgia and the state courts of Tennessee. He is a member of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees, the Bankruptcy Sections of the North Carolina and Tennessee Bar Associations, the Eastern North Carolina Inn of Court and serves on the Board of the Eastern Bankruptcy Institute. John serves as Immediate Past Chair of the Bankruptcy Council for the NC Bar Association, and is a member of the Bankruptcy Specialization Committee of the NC State Bar Board of Legal Specialization.
Bircher is a North Carolina State Bar board certified specialist in both Business and Consumer Bankruptcy. His practice is concentrated in the areas of bankruptcy, government, civil litigation, creditors’ rights, federal administrative law, administrative hearings and appeals, business planning and business law. He serves on the panel of Chapter 7 Trustees for the Eastern District of North Carolina. Bircher has received numerous honors, including Super Lawyers North Carolina and Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite.
