White & Allen Attorneys & Staff Volunteer At Mary’s Soup Kitchen

On January 17, 2016, White & Allen, P.A., in partnership with the Lenoir County Bar Association, volunteered at Mary’s Soup Kitchen in Kinston, NC. Sixteen attorneys and staff members prepared and served meals to those in the local community who were in need of a hot meal.  Mary’s Kitchen, located on North Independence Street, serves hot soup, sandwiches and plate lunches six days a week from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.

The facility began serving the less fortunate in July of 1984 and currently feeds approximately 125 to 140 people each day. White & Allen attorney and Lenoir County Bar Association President, Jim Purnell commented, “Our firm is dedicated to serving the community. We are grateful that an establishment such as Mary’s Kitchen exists in our area and our attorneys and staff are thankful for the opportunity to volunteer.” The White & Allen family is passionate when it comes to serving and giving back to the local community they know and love.
