White & Allen Celebrates Christmas in July and Collects School Supplies!

White & Allen’s Sleigh is Stuffed with School Spirit! It may be hot outside, but we’re cranking up the holiday cheer to celebrate “Christmas in July”—and asking our communities join the festivities!

Throughout the entire month of July, our Kinston and New Bern offices will transform into collection hubs for much-needed school supplies. We may not have snow, but we do have big hearts, a giving spirit, and a flamingo named Marty who’s ready to sleigh the season!

A Season of Giving… in Shorts and Flip-Flops

Our Kinston team, inspired by the warmth (and okay, the stifling heat) of summer, is calling on the community to help light up Lenoir County with generosity. Every backpack, box of crayons, or bundle of pencils you donate brings a child one step closer to a confident and successful school year.

Whether it’s safety scissors for a kindergartener or a graphing calculator for a high schooler, every item makes a magical difference. Our Holiday Hero, Marty the Flamingo, will make sure they bring light to a child!

Stuffing the Bus in New Bern

At our New Bern office, we are proud to serve as an official collection site for Partners in Education’s (PIE) “Stuff the Bus” drive. PIE is a dedicated nonprofit that supports students and teachers across Craven County through school supply drives, grants, and community partnerships.

We’re helping make sure that kids in Craven County are equipped and ready when that first bell rings. From markers and glue sticks to USB drives and binders, the donations you bring will directly benefit local classrooms.

📝 What to Donate?

A few ideas of needed across all grade levels:

• Elementary: crayons, primary writing paper, safety scissors, glue sticks
• Middle School: binders, folders, mechanical pencils, notebook paper, flash drives
• High School: scientific calculators, 3 & 5 subject notebooks, sticky notes, pens, backpacks

👉 PIE explains that donations of gift cards (Target, Staples, Walmart, Amazon) allow principals added flexibility to purchase needs specific to their school.
