
David was born in Wilmington, N.C., on August 15, 1960. He is licensed to practice before all North Carolina State Courts, the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
In addition to being a member of the American Bar Association, David is also a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina State Bar, the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the Lenoir County Bar Association. He is past president of the Lenoir County Bar Association and the Eighth Judicial District Bar Association.
David’s practice is concentrated in litigation with an emphasis on criminal, domestic and personal injury law.
David attended North Carolina State University in Raleigh and graduated magna cum laude in 1982, where he also played and lettered in football.
He then attended the University of North Carolina School of Law, graduating in 1985. He was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in that year.
