Oliver was born in New Bern on September 2, 1978. Prior to joining White & Allen, P.A. in 2020, Oliver worked for ten years as an attorney for the North Carolina Department of Transportation, handling almost exclusively eminent domain litigation. Prior to that time, he represented clients in a broad range of litigation matters, including federal prisoner litigation, state personnel litigation, criminal appeals, medical malpractice defense, general insurance defense, etc. He has also argued before the North Carolina Supreme Court.
Oliver is married with two kids, a son and a daughter, and enjoys being on and around the water with his family, both in New Bern and at the beach. He cheers for the Tar Heels, and his kids at their various sporting events and activities.
After living in Raleigh from 2004 to early 2020, Oliver is excited to be returning home to eastern North Carolina, to work, play, and raise his family.
Oliver graduated from Arendell Parrott Academy in 1997, before attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he attained a degree in Business Administration. While at UNC, he was the president of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.
Oliver graduated from Campbell University School of Law in 2004.
