
Amanda is originally from Lancaster, Ohio. Amanda graduated Magna Cum Laude from The Ohio State University in 2008 with a Bachelors of Arts in English. She graduated from the University of Toledo College of Law in 2011. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio, all North Carolina State Courts, the United States District Court – Eastern District of North Carolina and the United States Supreme Court.
Amanda’s practice is devoted to Elder and Special Needs Planning Law which is centered on advocacy for older persons, persons with special needs, their representatives and families. Her practice includes advice for personal and health care planning for long-term care needs; asset protection and navigating the laws governing Medicare and Medicaid; litigation and administrative advocacy for those seeking public benefit and those victim of elder abuse (financial or consumer fraud); special needs counseling including Special Needs Trusts and other related issues. Her practice area also includes Incompetency and Guardianship matters which often includes children with disabilities transitioning to adulthood and continued advocacy of their specific needs.
Amanda is accredited for the preparation, presentation and prosecution of claims for veteran’s benefits before the Department of Veterans Affairs and as a Veteran Marine spouse is proud to serve military families to receive benefits earned.
Amanda understands the issues representatives and families face to care for those with changing needs. She is dedicated to advocate for her clients’ and achieve their individual goals. Amanda is honored to serve her wonderful community and all families in Eastern North Carolina.
